Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to every quote and order placed through sparkfold.co.za. By requesting a quote or accepting one, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Sparkfold arranges laser cutting and bending of parts made to your drawings. Production is carried out by selected manufacturing partners on our behalf. We remain responsible to you for your order.

2. Estimates and quotes

1. The price shown when you upload a file is an estimate only. It is not an offer.
2. We review every request and send a final quote. The quote is an offer, valid for 15 days from the date it is sent, unless it states another date.
3. A quote is based on the files and details you supplied. If they change, the price may change.
4. We may decline any request, for example when a part cannot be made reliably.

3. Order and payment

1. A contract is formed when you accept the final quote online and we receive full payment.
2. Payment is due in full before production starts. Payment is made by EFT into the bank account shown on your quote, using your quote number as the reference. Production starts once the payment reflects in our account.
3. Larger orders may be paid with a deposit only by written agreement.
4. If payment is not received before the quote expires, the quote lapses.

4. Your files and designs

1. You are responsible for the accuracy of your files: dimensions, units, material, thickness, bend directions and quantities. We make parts to the files as supplied.
2. If a part must be bent, the DXF must include the bend lines (on a separate layer, for example BEND). Parts sent without bend lines are quoted and made flat unless we agree otherwise in writing.
3. We may point out problems we notice, but we do not check whether a part is fit for your purpose.
4. You confirm you own the design or have the right to have it made. You indemnify Sparkfold against claims that a part infringes someone else's rights.
5. Your design stays yours. We share your files only with our manufacturing partners, and only to quote and make your parts.

5. Production and tolerances

1. Lead time is 7–14 working days from receipt of payment, unless the quote says otherwise. Lead times are estimates.
2. Parts are made to standard industry tolerances unless agreed in writing: typically ±0.2 mm on cut features and ±1° on bends.
3. Laser-cut parts may show minor heat marks, small tabs or slight burrs. Parts are supplied raw unless a finish is quoted.

6. Delivery

1. We deliver by courier within South Africa. The delivery cost is shown on your quote.
2. Delivery times are the courier's estimate and may vary.
3. Please check parcels on delivery and report transit damage within 48 hours (see Returns).
4. Ownership and risk pass to you on delivery.

7. Cancellations, returns and refunds

See the Returns, Cancellations and Refunds policy. It forms part of these terms.

8. Liability

1. Our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, to the extent the law allows.
2. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits or downtime, to the extent the law allows.
3. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act that cannot legally be excluded.

9. General

1. South African law applies.
2. We may update these terms. The version in force when you accept a quote applies to that order.
3. Questions or complaints: contact us using the details in section 1. We aim to reply within 2 working days.
